*TOP 5 FINALIST IN THE GOLDEN GUITAR AWARDS-

"Permission to Breathe" the video clip produced and filmed by Millhouse Productions out of Brisbane has made it into the grand finals of the Sunscreen Independant Music Video Awards, and has also gained Gemma a Top 5 Finalist berth in the 2007 Golden Guitar Awards at Tamworth.Very exciting news for an independent country based artist.
Gemma's new album "NOTHING" (distributed by MGM/Green Distribution) is now out and should be available at all good record stores. Gemma has recently released another film clip "AGAIN' , which was also produced and filmed by Millhouse Productions. "Again" is currently sitting in the Top 50 on the CMC Charts. "AGAIN" - New Single from Gemma Doyle's forthcoming album- "NOTHING" out now.
This is the second single to be released off Gemma Doyle's forthcoming album. This great follow up song has always been a crowd favourite- from the opening lines to the catchy melody it is sure to please the listeners.Gemma wrote the song several years ago, and knew it would be recorded one day.

"Again" has been released on GSL Compilation No: 7. It follows on from the successful release of "Permission to Breathe" - which went to No: 21 on the CMC Charts here in Australia.
Gemma is currently working with Millhouse Productions on a Video Clip which should be ready for release in the next month.

'Permission to Breathe'- The Video Clip is out now and receiving airplay on The Country Music Channel after being released last week. The film clip was produced by Millhouse Productions out of Brisbane and can be veiwed by requesting it at www.countrymusicchannel.com.au

Since releasing "Permission to Breathe"- Amy Vanderspoel who now manages Gemma quoted that:
"the response has been nothing short of fantastic. It is getting a lot of airplay here and in Europe and has just been put on high rotation through 4aaa in Brisbane. Triple J has also picked it up and played the song on their roots programme. We are totally overwhelmed with the response- I am getting a lot of feedback and it is all very positive."

Gemma and her band will be touring with Holloway Street, www.hollowaystreet.com later in the year where both bands will be bringing some of their great music down to the Southern States.

This is the first single to be released from Gemma’s forthcoming album due out later this year. Although taking on a different sound since the release of her debut album, ‘Twists & Turns’, Gemma’s country origins are still evident.

Combining Gemma's unique vocals and her ability to weave words into great lyrics makes 'Permission To Breathe' a must listen, with a video clip currently being produced, for release in May.

It’s not your everyday country song but there is no mistaking the unique style and maturity of this young songwriter. "Permission To Breathe" is just a small taste of what’s to come.

Gemma Doyle and her band continue to make head waves here on the Sunny Coast in beautiful Queensland. After winning a placing in the King and Queen of song at the Wharf Tavern here in Mooloolaba, Gemma was asked if she would take the band and play support for Aria nominated Blues artist Mia Dyson at Joe's Waterhole in Eumundi. It has been a huge year for Mia Dyson, and now she has been nominated for two Aria awards (Best Female Artist and Best Blues and Roots Album for 2005. She has been compared to Bonnie Raitt and Lucinda Williams, but she plays a meaner guitar than both and her vocal intensity is unparalleled.

Being selected as one of the nine emerging artists in the Chrysalis Series at the recent Woodford Folk Festival has opened up some new doors for Gemma. She has now been selected as one of the artists to perform at the Australian International Music Market -AIMM- which is part of the Queensland Music Festival. The festival is being held in Brisbane on the 18th to 22nd of July.

Gemma has been playing acoustically with multi talented guitarist Luke Williams for over a year now and with the recent inclusion of Ross Farrant on drums and percussion, the acoustic based Gemma Doyle band was formed...
